Client operates a free-advertiser-supported-television (FAST) OTT Platform. ZMA quickly canvassed the global content marketplace contacting over one-hundred (100) producer and content rightsholders. Through ZMA’s efforts, this FAST platform was able to add over fifteen (15) new channels across multiple genres, including classic sitcoms, scripted dramas, animation, sports, court, variety series, and African American & Hispanic genres. Growth of content offering lead to increased monthly average users, resulting in strategic investment by Fireside Chat, led by Mark Cuban.

INDEPENDENT BROADCAST NETWORK SEEKS TO FIND LOW-COST / HIGH QUALITY CONTENT SOURCING
GOAL: TO COMPETE IN AN EXPENSIVE & HIGH-PROFILE CONTENT MARKET, BROADCAST NETWORK SEEKS ALTERNATIVE CONTENT LICENSING MODELS
Former Employer operates an independent broadcast network with no retransmission fees from cable and satellite operators. Zand was tasked with creating alternate low-cost production models and content acquisition deal structures to drive ratings and revenue, with attention to profit margin. Through extensive relationships with Studios and independent producers, Zand created unique non-exclusive broadcast windows for acquisition of iconic procedural dramas (Law & Order and NCIS franchises, Criminal Minds, Chicago PD/Fire) tripling Network ratings and ranking grew from #52 to #5 over a 3-year period. Additionally, Zand sourced and created innovative co-production models with international producers/networks resulting in the original production of seven (7) scripted series raising Network advertising CPMs and time-slot revenues.
